At JIK (Jesus is King), we believe in not just proclaiming the message of Christ but living it out in every way possible. One of the many ways we’re doing this is through SBJ (Sent by Jesus)—an expression of God’s love through acts of kindness.
What is SBJ?
SBJ is a unique initiative where we go out into various communities to clearly and boldly demonstrate the love of Jesus through tangible acts of kindness. Whether it’s sharing a meal, helping someone in need, or simply spreading joy, every act is done with one message at its core: “This is from Jesus.”
Our goal is simple: to be vessels of God’s love, transforming lives and pointing hearts to Christ through action.

Why SBJ?
In a world where kindness often comes with strings attached, SBJ stands out by making it known that every act of kindness is sent by Jesus Himself. This is not just about being kind; it’s about shining the light of the Gospel in ways that are memorable, impactful, and most importantly, Christ-centered.

Together, let’s boldly declare that Jesus is King—not just in words but in the way we live, love, and serve.
The Scriptural Heartbeat of SBJ
SBJ is deeply rooted in the teachings of Scripture. Here are some verses that inspire and guide our mission to share Christ’s love through acts of kindness:
- Matthew 5:16
- “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
- This verse captures the essence of demonstrating God’s love through good deeds, pointing people to Jesus as the source.
- John 13:34-35
- “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
- SBJ reflects this command by showing love in action, making Jesus known through our kindness.
- Acts 10:38
- “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”
- Jesus’ ministry of doing good inspires SBJ’s mission to follow His example.
- Colossians 3:17
- “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
- Every act of kindness in SBJ is an opportunity to glorify Jesus and point others to Him.
- Matthew 25:40
- “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
- SBJ’s acts of kindness reflect Jesus’ teaching that serving others is equivalent to serving Him.
